ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a Senior Project Officer with proven project management experience who can confidently lead the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic projects that will achieve priority outcomes and objectives of the organisation.
Your experience:
- Project scoping, development and delivery across a portfolio of various strategic projects.
- Development of key project documents, presentations, project scopes and plans, critical paths, business cases, budgets, and reports.
- Experience managing project budgets.
- Experience in managing a diverse range of team members to achieve project objectives.
- Leading and managing stakeholder supplier relationships.
- Experience working with the Not-For-Profit sector (highly desirable).
- Disaster management, with knowledge of recovery operations (desirable).
- Developing MoUs, Partnership/Sponsorship/Service Level Agreements and/or Funding Agreements (desirable).
- Management of corporate, government and non-government relationships (desirable).
- Ministerial Briefs and report writing (desirable).
- Experience working across philanthropy, donations and/or volunteering sectors (desirable).

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Efficiencies in project management practices, tools, and processes.
- Ability to balance competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Project Officer within the Recovery Operations and Partnerships branch, you will manage and coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of key projects of the NSW Reconstruction Authority while balancing a portfolio of strategic relationships across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of project scoping, development and implementation across a portfolio of strategic projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, allocating and managing resources and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate projects, including risk and contingency management, project impact and quality measures.
- Lead project team(s), including internal and external staff, to deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes.
- Manage project stakeholders through effective communication to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project and that project deliverables are met.
- Coordinate government and non-government organisations to deliver critical recovery-based operations within disaster-impacted regions.
- Lead consultation with both internal and external stakeholders across varying priorities.
- Contribute to key projects that support how formal and informal volunteers are engaged within recovery across NSW.
- Support the team when managing enquiries and responses to Ministerial Offices.
