The Procurement Delivery team enhances flexibility and provides end-to-end sourcing support, from BOM development through the product lifecycle. By maintaining a local Procurement presence focused on continuous improvement, we ensure the global procurement model remains integrated with manufacturing. Our department supports all sites locally, meeting site specific requirements and successfully implementing global and regional projects, ensuring seamless alignment and operational efficiency.
The Senior Project Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of high-value and complex sourcing, contract, and supplier management activities supporting the development and commercialization of Roche products. This role drives the sourcing process end-to-end, including the active management and monitoring of supplier performance throughout the engagement. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Project Sourcing Manager influences and guides cross-functional teams through best-in-class sourcing and contract management activities.
The key responsibilities include:
- Execute all sourcing requests in alignment with business strategy and priorities, including preferred supplier arrangements and contracting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Business Partners to understand and translate requirements into supplier deliverables with associated acceptance criteria.
- Utilize best-in-class methodologies, tools, and value levers to execute fit-for-purpose processes and meet defined deadlines.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure optimal sourcing decisions and supplier performance outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into robust sourcing strategies in collaboration with Business Partners and the Category Management teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for Direct Procurement during the product development process within the scope of responsibility.
- Deliver consistent business-relevant value through operational efficiencies and driving optimal supplier performance using continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with legal and/or contracting functions to support contracting activities such as the preparation and review of master agreements, statements of work, change orders, or similar documents.
- Expertly utilize business enterprise tools (e.g., SAP) and the overall procurement process/methodology.
You translate business needs into procurement requirements and actions effectively. You apply expert knowledge of project management, the product development process, and Roche’s category and supplier management approach to project needs. You play a key role in defining and building the team’s functional competency and skill sets as a senior team member.
