Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and type of activity/engagement they will experience in their role

  • P&L and Balance Sheet -monthly production, analysis, reviews and variance commentaries for assigned properties
  • Business Partnering - working with property management to provide insightful analysis on the financial position and produce forecasts of the properties financial positions
  • Financial Reporting - production of reporting packs and answering queries on the financial position from internal and external stakeholders
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation - monthly operating account balance sheet reconciliation in Blackline
  • Reconciliations - Prepare outgoings reconciliations for responsible properties and any other GL reconciliations required
  • Financial accounting - ensure accruals, journals and bad debt provisions are complete and correct
  • Job cost reporting- ensure all capex works are coded accurately with the appropriate job code
  • On-boarding & Off-boarding - assist with on-boarding of new properties into the group and the closing down of a property after they are sold or transferred
  • Ad-hoc reporting / training - Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the property and finance teams. Training for new Property Managers on Yardi and property accounting processes
  • Ad-hoc projects - taking part in ad-hoc projects
  • Monthly finance timetable - create the monthly finance timetable
  • Improving processes - pro-actively seek and implement process/systems improvements within the team
  • Mentoring - be the first point of call for property accountants/ assistant accountants
