About the role
Within the Queensland Public Trustee (QPT)’s Customer Property Services division has three main areas - Building Inspections & Compliance, Furniture, Fittings and Effects and Real Estate Service. The Senior Property Officer - Real Estate Sales (RES) role is located within Real Estate Services of Customer Property Services program. QPT manage the sale of over 400 customer properties each year with Public Auction being the preferred method of sale as it provides a competitive bidding process to maximise return and transparency for the market place.
As a Senior Property Officer - RES, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, supporting the Principal Auctioneer and Manager Real Estate Services in driving the sales program to meet strategic objectives. Your role will involve leading complex negotiations, conducting public auctions, and providing technical expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. Assist with coordinating auction rounds, prepare all listing materials for sale properties and provide guidance and education to Property Administration Officers and Public Trust Officers to build their knowledge and capabilities. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services. By identifying business process enhancements and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations competitive and customer-focused.
There are two temporary full-time opportunities available with possible extension based in Brisbane.
- 7 October 2024 to 7 October 2025
- 13 November 2024 to 14 November 2025

About you
You are a proactive, collaborative and passionate individual with a strong background in real estate services. You thrive in complex negotiations and desire to change lives for the better. A current ‘C’ Class Drivers’ Licence is mandatory, and holding a current Real Estate Salesperson Certificate, Real Estate Agent Licence, or Auctioneer Licence is highly desirable.
