Romero Games Ltd is looking for an inspiring and creative Senior Props Artist to join our growing team. As our Senior Props Artist you will work alongside our Hard-Surface and Lead Artist to bring unique visual worlds and experiences for players on PC and consoles. We are looking for an individual with experience, vision, and passion for creating cutting edge games. As part of an independent development studio, you will have a significant impact and contribute on multiple levels to the games we make.
Ideally, you can relocate to join us in Galway, Ireland, but a remote role is also possible for the right candidate in a European timezone. In your cover letter or email, please note your preference (remote/hybrid/onsite in Galway).
The target start date for this position is October 2024.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Create high-quality, realistic 3D models of environment props, vehicles, military props and hero assets ensuring they meet the visual and technical requirements of the project
  • Model, texture, and optimize organic and hard-surface assets for Unreal 5, paying great attention to detail and authenticity
  • Collaborate closely with the art team to translate concept art and design references into detailed 3D assets
  • Be able to provide feedback,own ideas and engine implementation and adjustments where needed
  • Collaborate closely with the art and tech art team to meet project needs
  • Communicate, mentor and provide guidance to other artists
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cutting-edge tools related to props and hard-surface modelling as well as real-time rendering
  • Understand technical restraints while seeking out innovative solutions
