JOB SUMMARY
RIC Power Corporation is a dynamic manufacturer of custom medium and low voltage switchgear, including protection and control systems, for the Canadian and the US market.
We thrive on building high-quality, custom equipment and we’re looking for a Sr. Protection & Control Engineer to join our team in Burnaby, BC.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
- A minimum of 6 years of proven direct detailed design experience in MV protection & control projects within Canada/United States.
- Demonstrated experience with CEC and IEEE/ANSI medium voltage switchgear standards.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Design/draft and/or oversee the creation of the electrical package which may include, but is not limited to, the 1-line diagram, 3-line diagram, LV distribution, control, wiring diagram, bill of material.
- Provide technical direction and decision making for the electrical department.
- Communicate with stakeholders/customers to ensure clarity on project and requirements are met.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers/designers.
- Provide support to QA/shop floor from a technical perspective.
- Act as the responsible registrant for the company Permit to Practice. Ensure the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) is up-to-date and followed by the engineering team.
- Ad hoc duties.
