We are excited to offer this new post to expand our innovative psychologically led Assessment and Therapy service workstream. As a senior member of the team you be expected to contribute to the leadership of all aspects of clinical and service delivery working closely with the clinical lead for the service.
The West Yorkshire Staff Wellbeing Hub is a unique model offering psychologically informed staff support beyond just the NHS and working in partnership with VCSE and social care colleagues across the regional health and social care system (ICS). It is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare professionals across West Yorkshire.
We offer a range of therapeutic services designed support with traumatic experiences, reduce stress, and enhance the overall wellbeing of our dedicated staff and volunteers.
Alongside a specialist 1:1 therapy service where you be based, we offer a range of preventative, system-based interventions including Schwartz rounds, trauma and critical incident support, coaching and team support. As the post holder you will be expected to get involved in all aspects of the work of the hub.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate band 8a Clinical Psychologist/ Senior Psychological Therapist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of fostering a supportive and healthy work environment for all health and social care workers in the region.

  • This is a hybrid role, working remotely and in person across the whole of the West Yorkshire Health & Care Partnership, meaning there will be frequent travel across the area of West Yorkshire. The post is hosted by BDCFT but you do not have to live local to Bradford.

As a Clinical Psychologist/Senior Psychological Therapist your role will be to provide support to the operational delivery of the service with line management of Assistant Psychologists and psychological therapists. You will also hold a small case load of clients under your care. Accreditation or working towards accreditation in Counselling, CBT or EMDR is desirable.
We have close links with a range of local training courses and ongoing CPD and development is strongly encouraged and supported.

Provide clinical leadership to psychological therapists.

  • Work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team bringing psychological theory and knowledge to the wider team via joint work, consultation, reflective spaces, supervision and team formulations.
  • Work with autonomous professional judgement, together with other psychological therapists, to deliver specialist evidence-based assessment, and therapy to individual and groups of patients.
  • Manage a designated caseload of patients with responsibility for their assessment (including clinical risk), implementation and evaluation of therapy.
