This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Public Health Analyst to join our Public Health team.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Public Health Analyst to join our team and play a vital role in improving public health outcomes for our local community. You will analyse complex data sets, identify trends and risks, and translate these insights into clear communication for decision-makers. This role requires a strong understanding of public health issues and a passion for using data to drive positive change. You will initially report to the Director of Public Health, and subsequently to the Deputy Director of Public Health.

YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

  • analysing complex public health data sets using advanced statistical methods and tools.
  • identifying trends, inequalities, and potential public health risks within the data to inform public health strategies.
  • translating complex data findings into clear reports, presentations, and visualisations for diverse audiences.
  • collaborating with public health officials and stakeholders across the council to use data insights to inform decision-making and interventions.
  • staying up to date on emerging public health issues and data analysis methodologies to ensure you’re using the latest approaches.
