We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our Public Health Intelligence Team at Medway Council as a Senior Intelligence Analyst. We encourage innovative approaches to our work, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and enjoyment. The team supports work across the Public Health directorate, including maintaining the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).
As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will take on complex projects from beginning to end. This will involve interacting with key stakeholders to establish clear objectives, designing analytical methodology, and communicating key data and intelligence.
You will critically read Public Health documents and support the development of strategies. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a sound understanding of Public Health principles are required. This role will have line management responsibilities and sit within a team with a strong ethos of supporting one another.
At Medway Council we believe that well-presented intelligence is a vital component to improve the health and wellbeing of Medway residents. The Public Health Intelligence Team has a strong track record of delivering high-quality work, so we welcome all applicants who are motivated to continue this. We often use the R statistical programming language, SQL, and Power BI, so some familiarity with these would be ideal, but is not essential as training can be provided.
