ABOUT THE TEAM
We are looking for an energetic and outgoing Sr PR Specialist to be a part of the global corporate communications team. The Sr PR Specialist will be responsible for impeccable execution within our PR program including writing press releases, executive commentary and bylines; leading the awards program and speaker bureau; media relations; managing our PR tech stack (eg: Business Wire, Meltwater); and measurement & analysis.
We’re looking for someone with five+ years’ PR experience, ideally in B2B or enterprise software, delivering earned media across tier one, trade and industry titles. You can identify, articulate, and write compelling stories that reflect our company’s successes and that meet journalists’ needs. You’re organized and proactive; you have experience working with executives; and you think globally. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you thrive in a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
About the role:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5 years progressive experience in B2B public relations, ideally in an in-house, enterprise software environment.
- A journalistic ability to source stories, outstanding written and verbal communications skills, and ability to distill complex technology and business information into clear, concise and compelling messaging.
- Demonstrable experience pitching stories, securing earned media and building relationships with technology, business and/or supply chain journalists
- Experience securing speaking opportunities and awards within technology, business and/or supply chain industries
- Ability to form relationships with colleagues at all levels, including C-suite.
- Strategically minded, collaborative with demonstrable understanding of how the PR and communications function serves and supports the business.
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline management.
- Professionally skilled and savvy in social/digital communications.
- Energetic and enthusiastic with strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrates diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work.
- University or college degree in related field.

Responsibilities:
- Proactively chase news and interesting stories from within Kinaxis and develop them to share with the world. Write press releases, media pitches, social media copy and internal copy.
- Execute PR program that amplifies our successes, product, market position, executive team and corporate story.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key media including tier one journalists, supply chain trades and industry trades.
- Deliver recognition and wins through awards and speaker opportunities program for North America
- Identify opportunistic commentary opportunities as they break, create comprehensive and timely briefings; identify media training needs as needed.
- Measure and analyze results consistently. Develop, maintain and enhance PR scorecard and contribute to high-level weekly and monthly reports.
- Celebrate the value of PR and ensure results are available for sales enablement.
- Manage PR tech stack including Business Wire and Meltwater – from day-to-day management to analysis, contract negotiations and renewals.
- Organize and lead regular catch ups with global PR agencies.
- Establish relationships and work closely with customers and partners on joint PR activity.
- Work collaboratively across the company, including marketing, sales, investor relations, analyst relations and executive leadership, to align and prioritize the most effective PR activity.
