Description:
The key responsibility includes maintaining an optimal stock level so as to support the business requirement, at the same time reduce ageing and obsolescence stock.
To meet the objective, this person needs to coordinate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring that the supplier obligations are fulfilled to meet business requirement.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related studies
- At least 5 years of experience in a planner and supply chain preferably with supervising experience.
- Applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, incoterms and Supply Chain.
- Proficient with MS Office suite –advanced skills with MS Excel
- Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
- Independent, can do attitude, good communication and follow-up skills
- Knowledge in data analytics is an advantage
- Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Preferably with SAP experience
- Individuals with relevant experience can be considered for an Assistant Manager role.
Responsibilities:
- To plan and establish optimal inventory levels so to purchase basing on fleet size, demand variation and lead times.
- Lead the logistics and purchasing team in managing daily operational roles
- Plan and forecast with business units to establish requirement and KPIs
- Process purchase orders and monitor open order status to ensure on-time delivery and availability of all materials to the business operation.
- Source and negotiate with supplier for pricing, lead time, return policy and quality management.
- Work closely with logistics operation to manage stock transfers, returns, write off and warehouse space planning.
- Manage and resolve issues with all stakeholders.
- Provide forecast to facilitate contract negotiation, sales operation and space planning.
- Tabulate, monitor and analyse stocks and to make recommendation for stock clearance and replenishment plan.
- Create new part number, setup and maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks).
- Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.
- Ensure corporate compliance to Company and Procurement policies and procedures.
