We are looking for a communicative Purchasing Specialist with strong interpersonal skills to source new suppliers, perform a variety of purchasing, inventory control, and evaluate supplier performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail purchasing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills including ERP systems, Microsoft Office
  • Experience in the gaming industry (preferred)
  • Flexibility of hours is required
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, business environment
  • Manage work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master list; clarifying unclear items; and recommending alternatives if needed.
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Identifies opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine the best supplier
  • Maintain, review, and evaluate records of materials bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
  • Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
  • Acts as a liaison and builds relationships with all departments to resolve purchase ordering and inventory issues
  • Works closely with other team members to coordinate responsibilities and prioritize tasks to ensure that all key deadlines are met
  • Negotiate cooperation policies with suppliers, such as procurement/delivery schedule
  • Manage and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, claims, and products of non-conformance or quality issues
