Job Location: Victoria (Headquarters preferred), with flexibility for remote or hybrid arrangements.
What it means to be Senior Python Developer!

We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know. As a Senior Python Developer at Leadpages, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing new features and functionality
• Problem-solving bugs and implementing fixes
• Helping to estimate the effort of engineering tasks
• Ensuring your code is well tested, programmatically and manually
• Participating in daily/weekly meetings
• Debugging and fixing production issues
• Maintaining and supporting existing software products and services
• Coordinating and collaborating with other developers and teams
• Promoting best practices for software development and security
• Mentoring software developers
• Technically leading projects
• Reviewing and approving PRs
• Researching new technologies and actively contributing to systems design
• Providing technical assistance to our customer success team

After 1 week

• You will be onboarded with the engineering team, have met your fellow team members and gotten a sense of how you fit within the company
• You will be introduced to our applications and have used them to create some basic web assets
• You will know how the development repos are structured and where to find documentation
• You are becoming familiar with the development processes and are feeling ready to contribute

After 1 month

• You will understand the product roadmap and where you fit into it
• You will have completed a number of bugs and stories and shipped code to Production
• You are providing technical direction and feedback in project meetings
• You are ready to take a more junior developer under your wing and mentor them

After 6 months

• You will have a clear understanding of the full breadth of our application and tech stack
• You have coordinated with other developers and teams on several projects and are ready to technically lead a project
• You are feeling very productive and are hungry to contribute and learn more
