The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for In-Sprint Web, API Test Automation by leading 4 to 5 quality engineers working on designing, developing, executing and maintaining assigned automated test scripts, reporting on assigned testing progress and outcomes.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and continued dedication to personal and process improvement.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web and API test automation using below tools/technologies::
• Selenium Java – POM, TestNG
• Rest Assured, Postman or other API testing frameworks
• Oracle SQL
• Experience of writing BDD Test suites with Gherkin, Cucumber
• Strong experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks
• Experience on Schema / Contract validations
• Good understanding of the different http status codes
• Good understanding and experience on automating different authentication e.g.: Bearer tokens, JWT
• Knowledge of JsonPath queries / Java POJO’s
• Mocking API responses using mocking framework/tools, Postman Mock server
• Proficiency with Jenkins, GitHub
• Leading team of quality engineers

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience of Mobile Test automation – Android / iOS
• Experience of working in an Agile manner and in Scrum Teams
• Experience working in Jira/Zephyr for Test and Defect Management (test scenarios/cases, defects, reporting) and other tools such as confluence
• ISTQB Foundation certified
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dedication to continuous personal and process improvement
• Proactive, self-motivated and capable of taking initiative
• Analytical with strong attention to detail and results oriented

• Develop and maintain automated test for Web and API automation
• Assign and manage quality engineer tasks as per the timeline
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyse test results, and provide feedback to project teams
• Ensure adherence to agile methodology, software quality standards, and best practices
• Continuously explore new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of testing
• Mentor and guide junior quality engineers on technical and professional growth
