Senior QA Automation Engineer

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

Context Labs is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. You will be responsible for leading the testing effort for Context Labs products and helping define the testing workflow. You have excellent interpersonal skills, are organized, detail-oriented and a motivated self-starter that can easily adapt to a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Engineering Lead, Technical Compliance.

EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of experience in Development or QA Automation
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Nightwatch, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, Junit, or similar) and Microservice Testing tools (Postman, Jest).
• Experience developing E2E and API tests
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and experience working with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub or similar.
• Experience with one or more Test Case Management Tools (Rally, Quality Center/ALM, TestRail, etc.) with Playwright as a plus
• Experience in cloud service (SaaS & PaaS) testing
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Jira, DevOps, Agile/Scrum Methodologies
• Experience with data pipelines is a plus, ensuring data integrity throughout the entire pipeline by implementing thorough testing at each stage.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• B.S. Computer Science, other scientific degree, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with TestRail is a plus

• Work closely with the Director of Technical Compliance, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in the effort to define and implement best practices for testing, performance, and maintainability.
• Work with cross-functional teams spanning product, development, data science, and research teams to drive engineering decisions.Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD.
• Manage test implementation projects which could include new tools and new versions of existing tools.
• Implement automated tests using various languages and tools including JavaScript, Python, and Java.
• Mentor and train other engineers
• Make technical decisions and collaborate with TC team and others to implement a comprehensive test automation strategy.
• Assess test quality, coverage, and team’s automation maturity.
• Stay ahead of the curve for innovative technologies and techniques with an eye towards the continual improvement of both the team’s skillset and automation strategy.
