About the role
We’re seeking an Senior QA Engineer to be responsible for automation testing deliverables for projects / BAU work in the Customer platforms delivery steams. The Senior QA Engineer is expected to undertake hands-on-testing as well as automation and to be proactively involved in the continual maturity of the Transurban Quality Engineering capability.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Assist the Test Lead / Test Manager to provide accurate estimates for Bau/project automated testing activities across Agile/Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Create Test Plans and manage the delivery of test plans (as required) in accordance with Test Strategy / Transurban governance framework.
  • Create Test Scenarios, Automated Test Script, and Test Data based on Project / BAU requirements or agreed Test Targets.
  • Own autonomously the Automation scripting to be able to review QA automation scripting that are either developed within the QA team.
  • Execute both automated and manual testing, with the target of full automation when it makes sense.
  • Consult and provide subject matter knowledge to Vendors and other areas of Transurban including Business and Technology teams as required.
  • Ongoing expansion and maintenance of testing knowledge database in Confluence / SharePoint
  • Train and mentor junior team members involved in various projects
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with 3rd party vendors ensuring delivery to requirements.
  • Assess Quality risks, implement appropriate controls.

  • Experience in Test Analyst / Integration Test Analyst role in large complex transformation projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional multi-company team environment, communicating to client as well as internal stakeholders
  • Have proven and experience with git, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Tosca and Selenium to implement and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes and procedures for testing established as per standards defined within the Enterprise Test Strategy.
  • Identify scope of testing and test approach; functional and non-functional
  • Possess in-depth experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC
  • Strong Software testing background with experience in all test levels
  • Experience working with Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery.
  • Certified ISTQB or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent reporting skills
