Description:

Senior QA Manager (Mobile App) is responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle. This role involves overseeing both manual testing and API testing processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience leading and managing QA team
  • Strong understanding of both manual testing and API testing
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support in test planning, execution, and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases for software projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Oversee the execution of manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance. Coordinate with QA engineers to identify defects and ensure timely resolution
  • Design and implement API test strategies and frameworks to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of application programming interfaces (APIs). Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Drive the implementation of test automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability of testing processes. Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and frameworks for both UI and API testing
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance best practices, standards, and processes across the organization. Continuously evaluate and optimize testing methodologies to enhance product quality and delivery speed
  • Manage the defect tracking process, including defect identification, prioritization, and resolution. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely fixes and regression testing
  • Generate and communicate test reports, metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement
  • Encourage innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing among QA team. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive process enhancements
