The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior QC Analyst (Microbiology) role will make an impact:
- Microbiology testing when required, ensuring that all support testing is carried out within the required timelines and in compliance with GMP and GLP guidelines.
- Peer review of analytical testing data.
- Approval and disposition of batch data in LIMS.
- Provide support to QC Supervisor; for example, scheduling, write up of investigations, etc.
- Working with analytical techniques and scientific programs, such as LIMS/LabX/UV software.
- Drive the right-first-time (RFT) and laboratory KPIs to ensure they are achieved in line with Department goals.
- Report OOS, OOT and Atypical Results to QC Supervisor in line with SOPs.
- Write QMS records and drive CAPAs.
- Perform documentation updates for QC test methods and procedures, aid in review of documentation for team.
- Assist with improvement projects, support continuous improvement culture.
- Champion the Safety, Clean and Compliance culture within the QC Laboratory.
- Assist with laboratory 6S and maintain good housekeeping.
- Perform training as required.
- Minimal supervisory responsibility.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a degree level BSc in a Science-related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience in the microbiological side of pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication, even across departments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work.
- Flexible and self-motivated.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner.
