Description:
BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.
BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Senior Quality Assurance Associate. This is a 16 Month-term, located in Charlottetown, PEI.
Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance and oversight to a team of employees. Responsible for basic Human Resources services for the team including payroll, review, and approval of vacation requests, providing employee feedback and evaluation where needed, and ensuring employees are in compliance with workplace rules.
- Acting as a technical consultant with customers, and other external agencies.
- Allocating resources including personnel and instrumentation to ensure that sales and payment deadlines are met, and the group’s internal clients experience a strong and consistent service level.
- Reviewing and approving analytical procedures from development through transfer to QC.
- Providing oversight for method validation, cleaning verification and stability protocols.
- Providing information on departmental activities to internal clients, and/or routing requests to ensure that information is provided promptly when needed.
- Taking a lead role in documenting and designing laboratory investigations, and ensuring resources are allocated to allow their timely resolution.
- Ensuring follow up actions arising from quality system events including audits, CAPAs, deviations and OOS investigations are completed and documented.
- Reviewing departmental SOPs and making necessary revisions.
- Seeking continuous improvements in all QC systems in areas of quality, compliance, output and efficiency, and ensuring standards are maintained.
