Description:

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 5+ years software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle, including automation experience.
  • Automation and Scripting knowledge, ability to create automated tests utilising frameworks & tools.
  • Good knowledge of databases and SQL knowledge are highly desired.
  • Quality focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Hands-on experience in agile implementations.
  • Experienced with Atlassian Toolset (JIRA).
  • Knowledge of SDLC tools such as: Jenkins, Rundeck, Gitlab source control.
  • B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field of study required.
  • MS degree desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Case Development: Write, review, and execute test cases based on product or feature requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and senior QA engineers to understand product requirements and design test plans accordingly.
  • End / User Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on various platforms (web, mobile, etc.) to identify bugs, usability issues, and ensure overall product quality.
  • Defect Tracking: Report, track, and validate defects in the defect tracking system, ensuring they are resolved before the product release.
  • Regression Testing: Execute regression tests to ensure that recent changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
  • Test Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of test cases, test results, and defects.
  • Networking Tests: Conduct basic networking-related tests, such as checking connectivity, IP configurations, and network performance, as part of the QA process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in team meetings to discuss testing strategies, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues, and provide feedback on product design and implementation from a QA and networking perspective.
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions
  • Play a central role in adding to our extensive automation capabilities in testing our core platforms.
  • Champion quality as a shared responsibility within a self-organising agile team.
  • Provide feedback into the Development and Product teams.
  • Working with analysts and developers to write test cases for new changes.
  • Organise and manage your test lab.
  • Work in an agile development process
