Danfoss is looking for an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality development and monitoring as a key area in the transformation to more sustainable tomorrow. One where resources and energy is reduced or reused.

Do you have a solid understanding of quality improvements within supply chain or electronics, and do you have a track record of working closely with suppliers around the world? Then the position as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at Danfoss, might be the opportunity you are looking for.
You will report to the Quality Manager and will work out of our office in Nordborg, Denmark in a hybrid work environment with some travel to be expected (10 to 40 days/year) to our factories and suppliers in Europe and China.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

• An educational background in electronic engineering or in a related applied science discipline.

• The ability to use statistical methods to drive continuous improvements.
• Experience from ISO standards with specific knowledge from ISO 9001 and IAFT 16949.
• Excellent communication and problems solving skills.
• Results-driven and comfortable to taking on project management responsibilities.
• Master the problem solving-problem toolbox (FMEA, 8D analysis, etc.) and proficient in Microsoft Office tools and statistical tools.
• Speak and write English fluently.

Your prime objective is to build relations with suppliers and drive supplier quality management projects.
Other tasks will include:

• Ensure continuous improvement of suppliers, driving for world-class performance.

• Monitor supplier quality performance, driving necessary action and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure productive change control - management with suppliers.
• Perform quality auditing and follow-up with supplier regarding claims and improvements.
• Provide quality project management, including problem solving and crisis management support.
• Document, control, analyze and initiate continuous improvement through quality metrics.
