Our Major Projects team are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Old Oak Common Station project.

What you’ll be doing

Some key responsibilities will be:

  • Support development, documentation and ongoing maintenance of the Quality & Construction Assurance Plan
  • Support the QACH Manager and other team members to meet relevant requirements (including ISO 9001) and associated procedures
  • Provide appropriate input and support for development and ongoing maintenance of other plans & procedures
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of a risk-based audit schedule
  • Support the Quality Manager and QACH Manager to ensure a specific, relevant, and comprehensive set of subcontract requirements relevant to quality and construction assurance have been incorporated within each tender package;
  • Provide proactive support to ensure requirements have been met and authorisation can be given for works to commence by the required date. This includes development and agreement by relevant parties of suitably comprehensive Inspection & Test Plans and corresponding items (e.g. checklists)
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Team, suppliers, and other interested parties to carry out and maintain the system of progressive assurance for the works including benchmarking, site inspection, testing and documentation;
  • Champion implementation and enforcement of the Quality Plan , Quality Procedures and associated documentation;
  • Ensure relevant audits are undertaken and reports issued in a timely manner in accordance with the annual audit plan;
  • Carry out regular surveillances of the works in line with the annual plan and issue reports in a timely manner;
  • Complete detailed investigations with respect to quality incidents to determine the facts and root cause(s) including issue of corresponding report and associate recommendations;

  • Proven experience in quality assurance and control within a relevant industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to apply it effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a track record of taking initiative and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • In-depth understanding of the sector and experience working in project-based settings
