Description:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 7 years Quantity Survey associated experience in the offshore / onshore Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.

  • Qualified chartered Quantity Surveyor by a recognized international body such as the Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB) or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Experience of preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and the management of claims required.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of contractual relationships.
  • Must be fully computer literate and able to utilise computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate flow of information related to contractor input into the contractor’s estimate, assist PMT in developing, understanding, and managing company’s cost.
Measurement and verification of the quantities and valuation of the work done in accordance with the contract.
Work with Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling to ensure the best application of integrated project control. Measure the achieved and completed quantities by the contractor.
Responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the overall BOQ & Cost estimate. Prepare BOQ, Cost estimates, Cost Variations, and invoices in line with Company’s procedure.
Be vigilant to manage changes when compared against Contract, influencing demand and specifications, and resolution of disputes in a principled manner while protecting the CCED’s interests and preserving contract value.
Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the work in the project.
Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of entitlement of Contractors claims, including presentation and agreement of recommendations to the Company’s Contracts Section and the PMC.
