Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Duffy Property Group in Galway.
This role will report to the Company Directors. We require a motivated team player who is keen to learn, has a commercial acumen, and enjoys contributing to the successful delivery of projects. With a number of projects coming on the pipeline, the role will offer an ambitious candidate the opportunity to assume new challenges and increase their scope of responsibilities. The role will be site based in Galway City with additional site visits as required.

• Manage projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Negotiating subcontracts including subcontractor costs, timeframes and resources.
• Working with Main Contractors/Subcontractors/Suppliers would be desirable and the successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, tendering, procurement, administration of contracts & valuations.
• BOQ preparation and subcontract packages across various disciplines
• Monthly tracking of subcontractors and suppliers costs within each project
• Preparation of monthly internal valuations and monthly cost reports
• Cost planning and reporting on budgets and variations to at Director Meetings
• Dealing with technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultants and subcontractors
