SENIOR QUANTUM KEY DISTRIBUTION EXPERT FOR SPACE APPLICATIONS (F/M/X)
Quantum key distribution (also known as quantum cryptography) is the most mature technology of the new era. It’ll secure public and private infrastructure based on nature’s fundamental law if implemented in the right way.
Quantum Space Systems GmbH (qssys) develops designs and prototypes for the technical implementation with a specific focus on space. We are at the forefront of cutting-edge space and quantum communication technologies. We specialize in developing innovative solutions for secure communication, leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics. Our mission is to advance space-based quantum communication systems to ensure the highest levels of security for critical data transmissions.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Expert
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantum key distribution, quantum cryptography, or quantum communication.
- Strong background in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and cryptography.
- Familiarity with space-based communication systems and satellite technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience with optical systems, quantum optics, and photonic technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience with satellite missions or space-based experiments.
- Publications in high-impact journals or presentations at relevant conferences.
