Description:

THE SKILLS YOU BRING:

  • Minimum Degree Program (Bachelors): Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences
  • RF knowledge
  • Automation tools (Python, JCAT)
  • Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OA&M)
  • Internet data protocol (IPv4, IPv6)
  • Radio telecommunication system (5G NR, LTE, WCDMA, GSM)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the automation Team of 6 – 10 persons (40% time) – assigning tasks, support/guidance on how to overcome obstacles with their tasks, providing feedback, coaching
  • Develop team test engineering skills for the following tasks:
  • Creating manual and automated test strategies and test cases,
  • Identifying required lab configuration and test tool requirements,
  • Creating, reviewing and updating test documentation,
  • Configuring a lab environment to test product functionality,
  • Execution of test cases according to a planned execution profile,
  • Documenting results including any observed software, hardware or procedural issues
  • Working as part of a product verification team to verify product functionality,
  • Interfacing with teams from design and Product support.
  • Manage improvements (5% time) – identifying problems with test coverage, efficiencies to our test flow and the lab environment ex. decommission old equipment, move dots to RF boxes to reduce interference, G2 branch out
  • Manage test coverage (5% time) – work with Test Managers to implement changes required by MRs or FSTs, usually involves lab modifications, swapping out old equipment
  • Manage lab/test environment changes (20% time) – stay informed and plan how to implement changes required for our lab (examples: migration to E2C, power savings script)
  • Monitor BDC (10% time) – monitor tests, ensure there are no obstructions for BDC (use automation team to resolve environment issues, test case execution issues), work with Track Guardian to get content in
  • Manage asynchronous Requests (10% time) – work with Track Guardian to ensure TR fixes and Customer escalations are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Manage maintenance of automation Repo (10% time) – administrator for our repo, resolve problems with submission process (Jenkins job)
