PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Full and valid driving licence
  • Previous experience working as a Rail Replacement Coordinator
    We are looking for individuals that can work flexibly, are keen to show case their Rail Replacement Coordinator skills and coach and train others to their high standards. Senior Rail Replacement Coordinators will deliver key safety and compliance updates to the team, motivate, and empower team members, to ensure consistent customer engagement and focus, maintaining high standards of delivery and service. You will deliver audits amongst other responsibilities and undertake on site assessments as required. We are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability to really enhance the operation for customers, making a positive difference to every customer journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that ‘on the ground standards’ are met inline with client expectations.
  • Maintaining high levels of Safety inline with agreed risk assessments and method of works agreed for each location.
  • When on site and visiting Coordinators, advise on adjustments to the replacement service to consider any changes in circumstances
  • Assist, advise and support on any failures in the delivery of the operation with the support of our Control team, with the appropriate and sensible use of standby vehicles. To also consider adjustment of the service, where appropriate, to assist in maintaining high levels of punctuality.
  • Provide weekly feedback to the Coordination team on Coordinator audits and station checks (via the inbox, in writing)
  • Help maintain a safe transfer and pick up/set down area for the customer when on site and assisting other Coordinators.
  • Undertake Coordinator on site assessments including uniform checks, app check, welfare check, all which will be documented and recorded along with feedback to the relevant team member/s.
  • Record all service incidents, escalating where appropriate, and providing thorough feedback within 48 hours to the Coordination Team after your shift.
  • Conduct Standards ‘spot checks’ at locations where required.
  • Conduct ‘Coordinator Audits’ at locations requested of you by the Coordination Team
  • Provide further training to the current Coordinators including coaching and mentoring.
  • Provide shadow shifts for new starters and complete relevant training paperwork and sign off.
  • Assist where required in the onboarding and training of new starters (new Coordinators)
  • Be the main point of contact for the relevant Station Facility owner/Client representatives when on site to ensure clear, accurate and timely information is provided allowing for a safe and smooth operation.
