Description:
REQUIREMENTS
- Master degree or equivalent graduate in Finance with focus on accounting
- Several years of professional experience in an international company or audit firm
- Well-founded knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and German GAAP (HGB)
- Distinct understanding of business contexts with a high affinity for processes as well as goal and solution oriented skills based on practice
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Founded SAP-Knowledge
- High ability to work in an international team, commitment and resilience
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP (HGB) and internal guidelines. This includes the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of balance sheets and profit & loss statements on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP
- Responsible focal point for outsourced shared-service provider regarding transactional accounting: ensure delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s)
- Evaluation of business transactions on recognition, valuation and reporting requirement (IFRS, German GAAP, German Tax GAAP)
- Responsible for independent preparation of statutory financial statements according to German local GAAP (HGB) as well as for preparation of all accounting related statutory and legal reports
- Assist in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Providing guidance for the rest of the German accounting team
- Act as a primary contact for the legal entities under responsibility for corporate functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders
- Assist management with financial planning including presentations and other ad hoc analysis.
- Lead and conduct projects such as system migrations, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions and other accounting initiative
