ABOUT US

In 2022 we celebrated our 70th anniversary and have 46 branches, 3 hospitals and our own nurse training college. We value all of our colleagues, and our forward-looking approach means we have introduced a Colleague Forum to listen to our peers views, as well as monthly Town Hall meetings with our board of directors, communicating real time updates, taking polls with live Q&As to ensure we’re making the right, collaborative decisions for our people. All our senior managers are mental health first aid trained and we offer Wellness plans for all our new starters.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will suit an RVN who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, enjoys all areas of hospital nursing and prides themselves in providing the highest standard of patient care.
As a senior nurse you will be given the responsibility to help guide trainee nurses in their journeys to becoming RVNs, and ensure the high clinical standards in consult, ward and theatre are being maintained.
As well as the large clinical team around you, and integral front of house team for client care support, you will be fully supported by the hospitals nursing team, deputy head nurse, head nurse, and hospital manager.
Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and its surrounding clinics provide an excellent first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral service and work to the highest clinical standards. As a result, you will have the opportunity to nurse a wide range of patients and conditions.
There is state of the art diagnostic support at the hospital with a new CT scanner, a diploma holder in imaging providing our CT and ultrasound service, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery during the day.
This is a fulltime position, including a 1:5 weekend rotation with TOIL.
There are no on-call requirements for this position.
In a nutshell….if you have a passion for hospital nursing, want to develop your ECC skills or utilise those you already have, and work among an amazing team and state-of-the-art facilities then get applying now!
