We are seeking a Senior Renewables Consultant, to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. This is a critical and global role for ABL with its various interests in renewables. The successful candidate will be a key member of the delivery teams, as well as taking increasing responsibility within the business, perhaps by leading a market segment or service line.

Responsibilities:

As our Senior Renewables Consultant, will manage various renewable projects and support positioning ABL as the global renewable advisor of choice. You will work within teams of multi-disciplined project managers, engineers, analysts and specialists, developing and working with capability across the company globally.

The following are the key responsibilities and duties:

  • Delivering projects to a high standard to ensure the utmost satisfaction of our clients and an outstanding quality of deliverables.
  • Led on proposals and supporting on business development and representing ABL. Managing project key performance indicators including budgets.
  • Managing project teams to ensure optimal delivery of projects.
  • Support in the positive development of our people through mentoring, training, etc.
  • Develop ABL’s suite of renewables products to lead in new markets and new (associated) technologies, building new systems through R&D to give ABL a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with, support and evolve with other businesses, teams and staff in the ABL Group, networking at all levels within the company, as well as with external bodies and acting as a representative of ABL at industry conferences, seminars, events, etc.
  • Ensure that projects operate per ABL’s high health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and well-being of staff, sub-contractors and any other third parties who may be impacted by our work.
  • Ensure project work and technical quality standards are maintained.

The role is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the country of application. Please note local and international travel may be required.
