DESCRIPTION
The Senior Research Assistant will recruit participants for research studies, ensure documentation is complete and accurate and assist with data related tasks (including collection and entry).
Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be
responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education (diploma or equivalent)
- Good Clinical Practice Certification is an asset but not required
- Health Canada Division 5 training is an asset but not required
- At least 3 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in a clinical research setting
- High level of verbal and written skills, good grammar, composition
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully with all people.
- Discretion and maturity in handling confidential material/matters.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to attend work regularly
- Basic experience with Microsoft Suite an asset. Additional experience with data analysis, data collection, and/or graphic software would also be an asset but is not required (e.g., Visio, GraphPad, SPSS, Qualtrics, REDCap)
- Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
