Description:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/MS in molecular biology, chemistry, or relevant engineering disciplines and 2+ years of full-time work experience which can either be hands-on NGS worflow experience in an academic setting or technical support experience in biotech manufacturing industry.
  • Meticulous in experimental work, observant and a keen eye for details.
  • Experience performing complex multi-step experiments with detailed and diligent attention to planning, organization, hands-on technique, and record keeping
  • Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques such as sample preparation, nucleic acid amplification and purification (RNA/DNA), qPCR, and DNA sequencing
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with single cell/ spatial transcriptomics and next generation sequencing library preparation workflows
  • Familiarity with Quality Management system
  • Resourcefulness and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the Process Development team in Singapore as a Senior Research Associate. The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of supporting process or QC method improvements, investigations on process deviations or material failures, through to executing changes and ensuring effectiveness in Operations.
You should be driven by solving complex problems, enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative and truly multi-disciplinary environment. You will interact closely with colleagues from different R&D and Operation functions and apply your skills and knowledge towards solving Manufacturing and QC issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Conduct process troubleshooting and optimization to improve yield, efficiency and product quality
  • Perform physical characterization testing and/or functional assays on non-conformance material to aid disposition and investigation
  • Support process characterization, guard-banding, qualification and tech transfer activities
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing batch records, work instructions and quality documents
  • Improve process and/or QC methods for higher productivity and robustness through DOE, data analysis and follow through to effective implementation in routine workflows
  • Communicate and present findings from experiments and/or trendings from process data, to identify root cause and solution.
