QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or Biophysics with at least 2-3 years of drug discovery experience or Ph.D. with 1-2 years of drug discovery experience
  • Experience with assays such as FRET, FP, MST, SPR, DSF, or ITC
  • Experience with protein expression, purification from bacterial, insect and/or mammalian systems
  • Experience with automation such as Tecan, Echo, Mosquito, Integra Assist, Formulatrix suite or Bravo
  • Proven ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and interpret data
  • Attentive to detail, organized, good communicator
  • Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize small molecule interactions with TNF super family members
  • Assays include surface plasmon resonance (SPR), differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF), fluorescence polarization (FP), fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), and AlphaLISA
  • Analyze and interpret data
  • Maintain detailed electronic notebook, develop protocols, summarize results
  • Upload data to internal database
  • Contribute to laboratory organization and maintenance
  • Present results to the project team and leadership
