DESCRIPTION

The Autism Research Center Bloorview Research Institute, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Senior Research Engineer with expertise in neuroscience/ signal processing and advanced analytics, including machine learning, across species. He/she/they will collaborate with engineers, clinicians, and third-party researchers and laboratories.

This position is responsible for supporting research activities in the ARC Lab with Dr Anagnostou who trains and mentors graduate students and other lab members on above items.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD degree in related field
  • Some experience with acquisition of biomarkers and advanced analytics
  • Experience communicating research results, including written and oral

Responsibilities:

  • Design, co-develop and implement processing and analytic pipelines
  • Cross data platform analytics
  • Prepare manuscripts
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintaining the privacy and security of data being analyzed by following hospital best practices and procedures
  • Troubleshoot source of problems and find solutions to ensure continued operations of research studies
  • Establish processes in accordance with institutional policies and procedure to protect safety and privacy of researchers, participants and data
  • Provide overall leadership of engineering operations, research compliance, adherence to standard operation procedures and compliance with hospital policies for the entire lab
