SUMMARY:

We are hiring a Senior Research Fellows to support a government customer. Candidate will serve a vital senior position in support of SAP levels across a domain of military functional areas such as Electronic Warfare, Cyberspace Operations, and Information Operations. Ideal candidate has a minimum of 20 years of military experience, especially in MAGTF, EMSO, or related Cyber Operations or USMC Doctrine. Prior experience performing in-depth research is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, participate in academic forums such as seminars, conferences and workshops locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
  • Advising government project officers on related research topics
  • Assist in developing information briefings, reports, plans, and recommendations for changes to combat capabilities, warfighting concepts, experimentation, wargaming, and science and technology investments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external agencies and developing relationships with various experts from within military services, the inter-agency, industry, academia, think tanks, major educational institutions, science and technology organizations, non-traditional sources, and appropriate international groups or agencies.
  • Conduct “horizon scanning” of the emerging future environment for indications of change that may be strategically significant to the nation, DOD, and Marine Corps.
  • Identify global long-range strategic patterns and trends for emerging threats, challenges, opportunities, technological adversaries, allies, partners, and regions with high potential for conflict and instability.
  • Conducting independent research and analysis of national and international forecasts, social, technical, economic, environmental, political, informational and military topics of potential strategic significance to the nation, DOD, and Marine Corps.
  • Prepare authoritative, publishable articles, commentaries, assessments, and staff products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree (master’s or higher) or successful completion of a resident Service War College in Professional Military Education, as well as a Bachelors or Advanced degree in one of these desired or similar fields; National Security Affairs, International Relations, Engineering Sciences, or other related fields.
  • Ability to interact with senior government and military personnel.
  • Review documents and conduct research or communicate with external partners at TS/SCI and SAP levels across topics and functional areas of cyberspace operations, electronic warfare (EW), and/or Information Operations (IO).
  • Possess expert knowledge of the 4 elements of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF): Command Element (CE), Aviation Combat Element (ACE), Ground Combat Element (GCE), Logistics Combat Element (LCE).
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
  • Due to sensitive nature of the position, must be a U.S. Citizen.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 20 years military experience, to include those possessing non-combat arms Military Occupation Specialty (MOS), specifically in the logistics, communications and intelligence fields.
  • Military experience and skills in MAGTF operations, to include experience in Joint and Combined Operations.
  • Prior experience in conducting in-depth research, complete and definitive analysis, and thorough review and documentation of analytical findings, courses of action, and conclusions.
  • Experience in inter-agency operations, combat development or defense acquisition, and proven capability to think, analyze and write clearly and concisely.
