Movember is dedicated to changing the face of men’s health. We’re on a mission to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. We believe in having fun while doing good, and our iconic moustache campaign has inspired millions to participate and donate.
We’re currently seeking a passionate Senior Research Fellow to join our Melbourne based team.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Research Fellow will coordinate a research program focused on gaming and esports’ relationship with mental health outcomes for young men. This includes conducting and commissioning rapid and longitudinal mixed-method research studies. The role combines in-house research with managing external partnerships with academic and industry stakeholders.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED
- Completed Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, public health, social sciences) over 3 years ago.
- Strong expertise in designing and conducting masculinities and health research projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong publication record in the field and experience in academic writing of papers, report and successful grant applications.
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R).
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of research projects.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex research findings to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of ethics and ethical considerations in mental health research.
