Description:
Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding informatics professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Informatics Manager to support the research chemists of our organization. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in our Information Sciences Department, reporting directly to the Vice President, R&D Information Operations and working closely with all members of the Department. An ideal candidate will draw upon their experience working in a life science environment, be customer service oriented, and be able to manage a broad range of enterprise level scientific applications, as well as niche applications for specific business needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with applicable experience within a scientific or laboratory environment, especially one that is related to small molecule drug discovery.
Understanding of Medicinal Chemistry and experience with chemistry-based applications such as ChemDraw, PyMOL and ChemAxon.
Experience with compound registration and chemical inventory systems.
Experience managing the implementation and maintenance of applications and platforms along with corresponding project management.
Good documentation practices and familiar with writing policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
Strong communication skills interacting with user and technical communities. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Expertise with SQL databases and proficient in SQL/PLSQL.
Proficiency working with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience using data reporting and visualization tools such as D360, Knime, Pipeline Pilot, Spotfire, Vortex, and R.
Experience supporting compound management systems.
Experience administering Electronic Laboratory Notebook platforms such as CDD or Benchling.
Experience working within a cloud-based IT infrastructure.
Experience supporting lab-based instrumentation and automation.
Experience with LIMS implementation and support.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 to $175,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
