Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced senior research nurse to join our expanding research delivery team. You will be an autonomous practitioner who works collaboratively with others, able to take charge of all aspects of research delivery, ensuring compliance with approved protocols, and providing high-quality care to patients involved in clinical trials.
You will work alongside, and be supported by a hardworking and motivated team of epilepsy consultants, clinical nurse specialists, a senior research nurse and senior clinical project manager. Some knowledge of epilepsy is useful but not essential. You will work closely with the senior research nurse and senior clinical project manager to ensure the efficient set up and timely delivery of trials to target within our commercial epilepsy clinical trials portfolio.
As we are a small team, we are looking for someone who is proactive and comfortable in taking the lead. You must possess strong organisational and time management skills and be able to prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of patient care. This role requires a pro-active approach, hands-on involvement, and a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks in a small team environment to ensure the success of our studies. Strong communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
As Senior Research Nurse you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our commercial clinical research epilepsy portfolio. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage 2-3 commercial epilepsy clinical trials and be responsible for the production of high quality research. As the research delivery team is small, you will be required to help with all aspects of research delivery from study set-up to close out activities. Your main responsibility will be ensuring the recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities and reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance and local Trust policies for research. You will be required to plan and manage your own workload effectively and demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach, along with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others, is crucial. This role requires a key emphasis on adaptability and a proactive working style. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. The role does not involve any line management responsibilities currently but you will be expected to manage a team of research nurses and/or data managers as the research delivery team expands.
