Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist in Immunopeptidomics to join our research programme based at the Oxford Centre for Immuno-Oncology in the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
The research programme is dedicated to unravelling the molecular architecture of immune responses in tumour tissues. In this role, your primary objective will involve profiling the immunopeptidomes of individual patients using LC-MS/MS techniques and to map the tumour-antigen landscape across large patient cohorts.
The key responsibilities of this role include managing the LC-MS facility to ensure operational instrumentation and support for specialized Immunopeptidomics applications. You will, lead the generation of proteomic and Immunopeptidomics datasets from cells and primary mammalian tissue samples using LC-MS/MS platforms, providing high-quality data to academic partners and industrial sponsors, Additionally, you will manage your own academic research and administrative activities co-ordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in Biochemistry, Immunology or a related subject with post-qualification research experience. You will have hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instruments (Thermo and/or Bruker), together with experience applying a range of proteomics methods to biomedical research questions, including proficiency in DDA, DIA, PRM methods and analysis (e.g. Peaks, MS fragger, MaxQuant, and Skyline). You will have excellent communication and interactive skills and a strong collaborative attitude. Finally, you will have a proven ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with learning agility and scientific rigor.
