Job Description

  • Conduct independent research in the field of Cloud Native Security
  • Identify new research topics and develop prototypes in one or more fields as mentioned above
  • Define use cases and demos to connect novel research ideas with product components
  • Bridge academic research and commercial technology development: Collaborate with our application security team and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the global research community: Publish and disseminate research findings in journals, speak and present at conferences
  • Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects
  • Guide PhD and master students in their career path
  • Assist the lead researcher in defining and prioritizing the research roadmap

Perform novel research in the following fields:

  • Threat and attack detection
  • Vulnerability and risk analysis
  • Security Posture Management (xSPM)
  • Kubernetes and container security
  • Automated adversary emulation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience and/or expertise in at least one of the relevant research topics (as mentioned above)
  • Good understanding of cyber and cloud security topics and their impacts on products and customer experience
  • Strong publication record (of course in relation to the “academic age")
  • Great communication skills when it comes to presenting and discussing research results with stakeholders
  • Excellent English skills (oral and written)
