WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Toyota’s InfoTech Labs (ITL) Division is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Research scientist. The primary responsibility of this role is to research and develop AI-enabled Connected and Automated Vehicle applications and technologies. The person in this role will support the ITL division’s overall objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of innovative Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Connected Automated Vehicles (CAV) applications to improve user safety and experience
  • Development of visual-language models for Automated Driving (AD)/ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, profiling, and optimization of Large Vision Language Models (LVLM) performance and efficiency for Connected Automated Vehicles (CAV) applications
  • Development of AI model optimization techniques for practical and efficient deployment
  • Development of Proofs of Concept (PoC) in test vehicles and simulation environments
  • Leading university research collaborations on state-of-the-art- research in Generative AI and computer vision
  • Contributing to various research projects
  • Regularly report and present to the research team and management
  • Create academic publications and invention disclosures
