Aviva has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Resource Management Analyst to be a part of our high performing and highly valued team, within our IT PMO & Transformation function.
The team works alongside IT professionals, support cross-functional teams, and contribute to resource planning within IT. The role is fast paced, and no two days are the same. You will be working at the heart of our IT Resource Management Function, setting the standards and being the source of tools, approaches, and guidance. As the Senior Resource Management Analyst, you will provide day to day support of the Senior Manager IT Transformation for all Resource Management activities.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a back-up to the Senior Manager, IT Transformation & Resource Management
  • Engagement and support of resourcing activities with key vendors
  • Support the levels of resource mix and understand the demand for resources.
  • Support development of IT Resource management strategy.
  • Daily interaction with teammates, customers, and partners regarding resource management tasks
  • Make sure all necessary approvals are acquired before completing any new resourcing request, and take appropriate action if approvals are missing.
  • Accountable for IT short-term and long-term workforce intake process and maintaining an accurate active list.
  • Analyze, track, and report on IT resources, simplifying processes where necessary.
  • Gather, review, and analyze large quantities of data relating to resource management which guide and inform critical business decisions and drive performance.
  • Proactively highlight deviations, trends, and issues ahead of time, identifying themes and areas for investigation
  • Produce data led insights, reporting on key exhibits and metrics that support telling the IT Resource Management performance story.
  • Assist with various tasks in IT Resource Management, including crafting reports, analyzing performance metrics, and fulfilling data requests.
  • Coordination of meetings, managing minutes, preparing agenda, and follow-ups.
  • Collaborating with team members and key external collaborators to support IT resource demand.
  • Collaborate with Functional line leaders to see opportunities for process improvements with resourcing activities.

What you’ll bring

  • 6+ years of Financial Analysis experience in an enterprise function environment.
  • University degree or equivalent experience in IT
  • Strong excel skills with the ability to consume large sums of data from various sources and synthetize to derive meaningful insights to support decision making.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task on multiple projects and tasks with contending priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter, able to operate with minimal line intervention, accountable for managing own workload to successful conclusions.
  • Develops positive relationships with collaborators internally and externally; Collaborative and inquisitive, with a strong commitment to streamlining operations.
  • Ability to prepare reports for leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, w/high focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Process oriented and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities and effective follow-up.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an asset.
  • Must be a team-player, a team builder, and a driver.

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $79,500 to $147,700. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
