Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant within Corporate Risk Strategy Planning & Governance (SPG) specifically supporting Model Operations and Controls (MOC). Model Operations and Controls is an independent team which focuses on coordinating workflow throughout the model lifecycle process, providing oversight of all Risk Modeling Group (RMG) controls, managing interactions with oversight groups, supporting and maintaining adherence to model risk management policy - all necessary to ensure the ongoing success of the greater RMG team.
MOC is seeking an individual leader to join the team with the focus on Auto Forecasting model support. This position will focus on partnering with RMG Auto Forecasting modeling teams, performing Auto model governance, tracking model issue remediation, project management, and ensuring RMG is adhering to Model Risk Management Policy.
This position joins a high functioning, high profile team and requires the presence and professional demeanor necessary to interact effectively with team members across SPG, RMG, Lines of Business (LOB), model governance, oversight, validation, and audit organizations, as well as strong documentation capabilities that can effectively convey complex processes. The candidate must possess organizational and prioritization skills, as well as strong attention to detail. This role will require critical thinking and a tactical approach to problem solving.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics.
- Be responsible for reviewing process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.
- Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies.
- Support efforts related to G&O, COSO, EUCT and Information Security compliance. Develop documentation including process narratives and desktop procedures ensuring compliance within key policy and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with development and production teams to lead model development and production planning as well as regulatory engagements, ensuring robust control documentation and timely and appropriate communication with testing teams within the following areas: Credit stress testing, Basel, financial planning, decision support and Allowance/CECL processes.
