Description:

You highlight risks so that they can be incorporated into strategy and decision-making processes. Your overall mastery and integrated perspective of risk management issues put you in an ideal position to provide DGIG’s Chief Risk Officer with direct support during exchanges with decision-making bodies. In fact, your proximity to DGIG’s Chief Risk Officer and many other managers makes this a high-profile position. The scope of this role means you’ll be in contact with various industry players and stakeholders from across the organization, creating opportunities to learn more about the insurance sector and Desjardins Group processes. Risk management provides many interesting opportunities for professional development. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Steer, plan and develop quarterly disclosure process activities in line with the expectations of all stakeholders (contributors, the Chief Risk Officer, senior management and the board of directors)
  • Use your in-depth and integrated risk knowledge to support DGIG’s Chief Risk Officer during presentations with decision-making bodies
  • Coach contributors to ensure they’re able to deliver high-quality work on time
  • Contribute to the implementation of the integrated risk management framework at all levels of the organization
  • Implement and maintain strategic, reputational, cultural and geopolitical risk management
  • Help identify and analyze emerging risks
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of corporate governance, policies, standards, models and programs to support various projects and strategic initiatives
  • Represent your department before various committees made up of senior managers and decision-making bodies.
