WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
  • More than 8 years of experience in the role and demonstrated/validated Risk Management Skills at ambition for seniority level.
  • Solid relevant work experience and a deep understanding of both specialized and broader business topics.
  • Risk Management or internal control accreditation or Accounting or Auditing qualification.
  • Understanding and knowledge of best practices and trends in Enterprise Risk Management and internal control frameworks.
  • Relevant quantitative, Solvency II experience.
  • Strong IT user skills, very good user knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural context.

Responsibilities:

As Senior Risk Manager for the Global Qualitative Risk Management team you will report directly to the Global Head of Qualitative Risk Management and will have global responsibility for the implementation of risk management programs.

You will collaborate closely with first and second line of defense leaders across the company as well as with the LoB Risk Management teams to ensure timely and transparent identification, assessment and mitigation of risks across the LoB as well as to ensure that the internal control system is effectively integrated throughout the organization. The Senior Risk Manager will also contribute to the Allianz Partners Global Risk Centre of Competences (CoCs) and, depending on the topic or seniority level lead some of the CoCs.

  • Oversee, coordinate and lead qualitative Risk management topics across global locations as required.
  • Act as Single Point of Contact for Risk topics across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Az Partners business and liaise closely with key stakeholders as required by ERM programs in their responsibility.
  • Work with business units and provide risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives.
  • Support the management, monitoring and reporting global business operations risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments to determine impacts of risk issues and facilitate appropriate escalation and implementation of the decisions.
  • Provide feedback to inquiries relating to risk monitoring actions.
  • Support and provide advice during decision-making processes.
  • Monitor news around market and evaluate current and potential risk exposure.
  • Identification of changing regulations and industry risk trends that may have an enterprise-wide impact.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk management activities.
  • Participate in the organisation, as well as lead and present topics in the AZ Partners Risk Committee and other meetings as required
  • Facilitate the Risk management process and provision of Risk management delivery support (this includes among others, the Top Risk Assessment and Internal Control Framework).
  • Coordinate the effective implementation and maintaining of a network of Risk and Internal Control coordinators as well as the provision of risk training to the wider business. Promote a positive Risk Culture within the business.
  • Support the Head of Risk in the team’s activities and team development e.g. recruitment, engagement of the team, team performance, coaching and mentoring.
  • Operates autonomously, enabling independent work with minimal supervision.
  • Analyzes and resolves complex problems that do not have clear precedents, utilizing their expertise to identify best practices and emphasizes process improvement.
