Working collaboratively as part of a robust and effective team that identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors risks within Julius Baer. The Risk Officer reports directly to the CRO Guernsey and fulfils a broad role within the CRO team, focusing on all aspects of financial risk, including credit, treasury and market risk, and non-financial risk, including governance, regulatory and operational risk. By ensuring compliance with internal standards and external laws and regulations, the Risk Officer is responsible for the performance and, where necessary, the oversight of controls testing and the maintenance of the risk reporting systems within the Branch.

PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL

• A minimum of 8 years relevant practical experience in risk management or internal audit.
• Experience in designing and implementing controls, policies & procedures.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to utilise critical thinking skills to analyse business activities to identify relevant risks and issues.
• Suitable professional qualification(s).
• Commercial mindset.
• Whilst not essential, relevant private banking experience is desirable
