Job Description
The AECOM Transportation team is seeking a talented Senior Roadway QA Inspector for our Barrie, ON location
This is an on-call contract role to start ASAP
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Highschool + 4 years of relevant experience in highway/ roadway construction or Diploma/Certificate + 2 YORE
- OACETT Registration or eligibility as Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) required.
- Minimum two (2) MTO or Municipal projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience in general highway construction experience
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage staff during parallel daytime and nighttime shifts.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
- Provides on the job training to new employees.
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress.
- Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
