Responsibilities:

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?

As a Senior Robotics Systems Engineer you will play a key role in designing and building in integrating new sensors and their drivers reliably in our autonomy stack. This serves as the ground for the autonomy stack to provide safe localisation and navigation capabilities to our robot, which enables the rest of our tech teams to build stock analyses on top.
You’ll work in an ambitious, highly skilled but cooperative team that pushes robotics boundaries that aims to solve no less than the exciting robotics goal to have a robust autonomy stack that scales robustly in various kinds of dynamic warehouse environments.

You’ll work on a variety of different projects as we continue to build our platform. To give you an idea of what kind of work you’ll be doing, some recent projects our team has worked on include:

  • Evaluating new sensors and actuators to determine their reliability and suitability to be integrated into our platform.
  • Writing new sensor and actuator drivers as well as making improvements to existing drivers.
  • Analysing the performance of different sensors and improving interfacing with the sensors to increase reliability and error handling.
  • Analysing full system performance to find interference between different hardware components.
  • Building tooling and automation to support the evaluation and improvement of our sensor and actuator drivers
