It was founded in 2012 and is based in California. We are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer with a strong emphasis on back-end development. Primary goals include building and maintaining the integrations with external data providers to efficiently deliver supply chain risk information normalized to a single-pane scorecard and deepening the product’s integration into the larger project’s ecosystem (Unified SSO, Azure Service Bus). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building scalable, high-quality applications. A crucial aspect of this position is the ability to work within cross-functional squads, collaborating closely with team members across various disciplines to deliver robust solutions. Product Tech Stack - Backend: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, RSpec, JSON API, Sidekiq; Frontend: React + TypeScript, JSON API, Playwright; DB: PostgreSQL, Redis; CI/CD: GitHub Actions; Infrastructure: Heroku, Azure, Datadog, Honeybadger.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in development with Ruby.
• Experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs using JSON API.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Comprehensive understanding of the web development process: design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong English skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within squads.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Good skills for planning, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain applications collaborating within cross-functional squads: engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Actively participate in squad meetings to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Ensure applications’ performance, quality, and responsiveness, leveraging cross-functional expertise to address complex challenges.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and contribute to improving code quality and test automation within a team-oriented environment.
• Share your knowledge and technical expertise across the entire product development department.
