QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

Essential

• Registered Nurse with significant post registration experience in a SACT administration environment.
• Qualified in venepuncture and cannulation and the use of CVAD’s with evidence of regular competency assessment.
• Qualified in the Safe handling and administration of SACT (accredited course) with evidence of regular competency assessment. Completion of UKONS SACT passport.
• Teaching & Assessing course, (ENB 998 or equivalent).
• Must have or be undertaking a recognised course in advanced Communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience of managing complex patients in a nurse led setting.

KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL ABILITY

Essential

• Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
• Possess mandatory training requirements, including ILS, infection control and health and safety, equipment and medical devices.
• Demonstrate principles of accountable practice
• English language to IELTS 7.0
• Demonstrates the ability to be involved in undertaking audit.

Desirable

• Continuing professional development.
• Competent on MS Office, Teams and other relevant packages.
• Root cause analysis.
